How-To Guide

How to Play Chicken Plinko: One Bet, One Egg, One Basket

In short: Chicken Plinko is an Onlyplay instant game in which one bet drops one egg through eight rows of pegs; the basket that catches it, worth x0.2 to x20, sets the payout.

You choose a stake, press the round green button, then watch. That is the whole input. We checked it the long way: 83 drops at 0.50 in the studio's own demo, with every control written down.

Chicken Plinko (an Onlyplay instant game)
Type:
Plinko game
RTP as published:
96.00% according to the rules document inside the game client, and 96.14% according to the studio's own game page.
Max win:
1,000x the bet, published by the studio on its game page as "Max win 1,000×" without saying which feature reaches it.

Note: Every round of Chicken Plinko runs the same chain: stake, drop, bounce, basket. The player picks the stake, the number of drops and whether to buy a bonus; the random number generator decides everything after the press. In our demo session the best payout was 10.00 on a 0.50 bet, twenty times the stake.

How a Round Plays, Step by Step

Follow these steps in order; the index below jumps to any step, and each step names the control it uses.

  1. Step 1: Open the free demo
  2. Step 2: Pick a stake
  3. Step 3: Set a drop limit
  4. Step 4: Press the round green button
  5. Step 5: Follow the egg through the pegs
  6. Step 6: Read the basket that catches it
  7. Step 7: Check the three plaques
  8. Step 8: Watch for a golden egg
  9. Step 9: Let a bomb or battery play out
  10. Step 10: Decide on the shop last

Before the First Drop

Step 1: Open the Free Demo

Onlyplay's public launcher loads the game with a €10,000.00 demo balance and asks for no account. The launcher has no age check of its own, so the 18+ rule is yours to keep.

Step 2: Pick a Stake

Tap the coins button to open the bet panel, or use the plus and minus buttons beside the BET plaque. The demo offers seven stakes from 0.50 to 40.00, and 0.50 is selected when the game opens.

Step 3: Set a Drop Limit

In the same panel, pick 25, 50 or a bigger number before you confirm. With the infinity symbol left on, autoplay runs until something else stops it.

Dropping One Egg in Chicken Plinko

Step 4: Press the Round Green Button

One press takes one stake. The hen at the top lets go of one egg. On some devices the spacebar or a tap near the button does the same job.

Step 5: Follow the Egg Through the Pegs

The egg bounces down eight rows, maybe brushing a funnel or a bumper on the way. Funnels bend its flight; its payout stays the same.

Step 6: Read the Basket That Catches It

The basket's multiplier times the stake is the win, so x5 on 0.50 pays 2.50. An egg that breaks in the air or misses every basket loses the stake.

Step 7: Check the Three Plaques

BALANCE, LAST WIN and BET sit under the board. LAST WIN keeps the previous win on screen until a new one lands, so it can hide a losing run.

Feature Eggs and the Shop

Step 8: Watch for a Golden Egg

A golden egg costs a normal stake. It stays whole all the way down. If it touches a bumper that has reached x25 or x50, it pays that bumper's multiplier on top of its basket.

Step 9: Let a Bomb or Battery Play Out

A bomb collects every active bumper without touching them. A battery starts the ten-sector Wheel of Fortune by itself, with no press needed.

Step 10: Decide on the Shop Last

BUY NOW sells thirty Free Eggs at 30x the stake, the Wheel of Fortune at 50x and the Jackpot Game at 200x. At 0.50 that comes to 15.00, 25.00 and 100.00.

The 11 Baskets and What They Pay

The basket row is the whole paytable: ten fixed multipliers plus one mystery basket on the far right. Half of the ten fixed baskets pay back less than the stake. A landing near the centre therefore loses money, even though the screen celebrates it as a win.

The mystery basket is kinder. Its three possible values, x2, x5 or x20, all return at least double the bet.

The Player's Three Choices

Three choices belong to the player: the stake, the drop count, and a bonus purchase. Everything after the press belongs to the random number generator, from the bounce off the first peg to the kind of egg the hen lays.

The funnels look like a control, and they aren't one. Green updrafts sit on the left, red downdrafts on the right. The rules say they "do not impact the final payout". That settles any plan to steer an egg toward the x20 corner. What looks like skill is decoration here. The bumpers work the same way: a player watches them fill, but the hen decides when a golden egg shows up to collect. So the one real lever is money: the size of each stake, times the count of drops. That makes the bet panel the most important screen in the game.

Our 83 Drops at 0.50

We opened the studio's public demo on , kept the default 0.50 stake and pressed the button 83 times over three short runs. The balance went from 10,000.00 to 10,007.20: 41.50 staked, 48.70 returned.

That profit is luck. Two 10.00 payouts made up 20.00 of the 48.70. The other 81 drops returned 28.70 against 40.50 staked. Features stayed silent the whole time. Zero golden eggs cashed a bumper. Zero bombs fell. Neither bumper was ever cashed.

Autoplay Opens on Infinity

The bet panel opens with the infinity symbol already lit, so an autoplay run started straight away has no end of its own. The other choices are 25, 50, 100, 200, 500, 1,000 or 5,000 drops.

Bet panel with stakes 0.50 to 40.00 and infinity selected
The demo's bet panel: seven stakes from 0.50 to 40.00, and the bet-count limit opens on the infinity setting. Source: our own screenshot.

We do not recommend starting autoplay on the infinity setting. The rules name three automatic stops: a stake bigger than the balance, a condition the player sets, or a bonus mode starting, and even that last one "may be disabled on some platforms". Autoplay also freezes the stake, so a smaller bet means stopping the run first.

Chicken Plinko's Weak Spots

The biggest gap is the odds. The game page and the rules both stay silent on the chance of any basket, bumper, wheel sector or jackpot door. A player sees what each landing pays, never how often it comes.

Volatility is a second soft spot: Onlyplay prints one word, Medium, with no scale explained, while catalogues call the same game high or medium-high. Three labels for one game is thin ground for a budget.

The third limit is legal rather than technical. Whether a real-money version may be played at all depends on the reader's country. The free demo, where no money is staked, is the place to practise these steps before any casino enters the picture.

Key Terms Used on This Page

Bumper
One of two purple targets, marked x25 and x50, that gain +0.1 each time an ordinary or free egg hits them and pay when a golden egg touches them.
Mystery basket
The eleventh basket on the far right, which pays x2, x5 or x20 at random.
Bet-count limit
The autoplay setting with choices from 25 to 5,000 drops plus infinity, which the demo selects by default.
Speed Up bet
The rules' name for buying Free Eggs or the wheel; the shop prices those at 30x and 50x the stake, and the Jackpot Game at 200x.

What Else Do Readers Ask?

Readers ask about the parts the help screens skip: accounts, changing the bet mid-run, dropped connections and keyboard shortcuts. Each answer comes from the client's rules document or from our own demo session.

Does the demo need an account?

No, the studio's public launcher opened the game for us without a sign-in, a token or an age check, holding €10,000.00 in demo credits.

Can the bet be changed in the middle of an autoplay run?

No, the rules lock bet value and every other autoplay setting once the run starts; stopping autoplay first is the only way to pick a different bet.

What happens to an unfinished round after a disconnect?

Unfinished rounds may be voided if they are not resumed within 24 hours, and collected progress can be repealed after 24 hours without play, according to the rules.

Does the spacebar place a bet?

Yes, on some devices the rules say the spacebar or a tap near the main button places a bet, so a stray keypress costs one stake.

How do we test the instructions on this page?

Testing meant opening the studio demo on , reading all nine help screens and the full rules, then logging 83 drops at 0.50.
